Privacy notice

A production-ready privacy notice must be reviewed against MileTheWorld’s final legal entity, providers and retention policy before public launch. This V1 explains the current technical handling without inventing operator details.

Information collected

Business inquiries collect the company, contact and project details shown in the form. Creator applications collect contact, location, social-profile and application details. Newsletter signup collects an email address.

MileTheWorld does not collect or store payment-card details. Stripe-hosted Checkout handles payment information directly.

How information is used

Submitted information is used to review and respond to the request, assess creator applications, deliver an explicitly requested newsletter, or maintain the status of a Select Pass transaction.

The forms include a hidden anti-spam field and basic rate controls. Data is not requested for unrelated profiling in this V1.

Storage and processors

In local development, successful submissions are written to a server-only .data directory that is excluded from version control. Production is designed to send records to a configured private submission endpoint; that provider and its location must be named here before launch.

Stripe acts as the payment provider for Checkout. The final notice should link to the applicable processor terms and list any newsletter or hosting provider once selected.

Retention and rights

A final retention schedule and verified privacy contact must be added before public collection begins. Users should be able to request access, correction or deletion where applicable through that verified contact.
